Cheap flights from Dubai to Pakistan are the fares that stay cheap after you add a bag, not the headline that disappears when you select Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad or Peshawar. Emirates, flydubai, PIA, airblue and Air Arabia all fly parts of this route, and a lite or basic ticket can be a cabin bag only. Apna Ghar will not invent a fare in dirhams or rupees, and it will not name a cheapest month. Prices move. Eid and the school holidays push them up. The comparison that works is the total on the airline’s own site, with the bag you will actually carry, for the airport you will actually reach.
When to book, and what to compare
- Compare the total, not the base fare. A suitcase for gifts can cost more than the difference between two airlines.
- Read the fare brand. Lite and basic tickets are often cabin-bag only. The kilogram figure, if any, is the one on that ticket, explained in the baggage guide.
- Mid-week dates are often calmer than Friday night. That is a habit of this route, not a guarantee and not a published cheapest day.
- Eid and the December school holidays cost more and sell out. See Eid flight tips. Book when your leave is signed.
- DXB and DWC are different airports. A cheaper DWC fare is not cheaper if the taxi and the time wipe out the difference.
- Check which city the ticket actually serves. Schedules to Peshawar, Multan, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad change. Look up the date. Do not trust last year’s memory.
- Buy on the airline’s site or through an agent you can visit again. Open the booking on the airline site the same day.
- A booking without a PNR is not a ticket. A WhatsApp screenshot of a name and a price is not a PNR either.
The total, with bags and with the right airport
Write three numbers before you pay: the fare, the bag, and the change fee if your leave might move. Add them. Then look at the other airline’s three numbers. A “cheap” flydubai or Air Arabia fare can beat Emirates before the bag and lose after it. PIA and airblue can go the other way. There is no standing winner. The notes on flight search are a way to keep those lines straight. This site does not sell tickets, and the box stays switched off until there is a real search to show. Nobody here can see tomorrow’s seat.
Open the PNR on the airline website before you leave the shop, while you can still cancel the cash. The PNR is the booking reference the airline recognises. If the agent cannot produce it, you do not have a booking. If the name on the PNR is not the name in your passport, you do not have a booking you can fly. Correct the spelling while you are still at the desk. Gold in the suitcase is not a baggage question. It is a customs question. Read the gold carry guide before you buy jewellery to take home. A cheap ticket does not make an undeclared bangle legal.
Agents, employers and group tickets
A travel agent can be a reasonable way to pay in cash if the PNR appears under your name the same day. They are not a reason to skip the bag rule. Ask them to open the booking and show the baggage line. If they say “30 kilos, everyone knows”, they are remembering a different fare brand. Employer travel desks should give you the PNR and the baggage in writing as well. A seat held verbally for a company annual leave rush is not a seat. If two of you are travelling, book so you can see both names. A group screenshot with your name typed in a caption is how people reach the airport and find they were never in the booking.
Change fees and refund rules are part of the price. A slightly higher fare you can change can be cheaper than a lite fare you must throw away when the camp shifts the off-day. Read that rule before Eid, not in the queue. If you are also sending money home for the ticket, compare the transfer the way you would any other remittance, and do not buy the ticket from a stranger who says they will “adjust it in the hawala”. You want an airline PNR and, separately, a receipt for any money you sent. Those are different pieces of paper.
