Bahrain visa for Pakistanis: visit and work

Use Bahrain’s official eVisa or NPRA pages for visits, and LMRA rules for work permits. Do not pay a fee you cannot see on those sites.

A Bahrain visa for Pakistanis should be read on the official eVisa site or on Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs guidance, not on a printout from a shop. Work permits sit with the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and a sponsoring employer. Eligibility for a visit product is a setting the official site controls. It can differ by passport, and it is not a fact this page should freeze. Apna Ghar will not quote a dinar fee. Visit eVisa and work permits

Open the Bahrain eVisa site and see if your passport and your purpose are accepted before you pay an agent. If the site will not start the application, an agent cannot honestly sell you that visa. If the site will start it, you can often see the fee before you commit. Write that figure down. A shop price that is many times higher needs an explanation you can check, not a speech about “embassy contacts”. Visit, family visit and work are different purposes. A button that says tourism is not a work permit with a friendlier name.

For a job, ask which Labour Market Regulatory Authority work permit covers you. The employer applies. You should know the employer’s registered name, the job title, the wage in Bahraini dinars, and whether housing and transport are included as cash, as a place to sleep, or not at all. Ask for a permit or application reference you can verify on an official enquiry before you resign and before you fly. A Word file with a logo is not that reference. Employment from Pakistan also means the Protector of Emigrants. The Gulf permit does not cancel the Pakistan exit step.

How to read a Bahrain offer

Use BHD to PKR as a mid-market reference when you compare a salary with life at home, and run the basic wage through the salary converter. The dinar, like the Kuwaiti dinar, is a strong currency. A small-looking number can be a serious wage or a poor one depending on rent. Separate basic salary from allowances. Ask who pays the visa, the ticket, and any medical. Ask what the hours are, and whether overtime is contractual or a hope. This page will not publish an average salary for Pakistanis in Bahrain. Your offer is the number on the paper the employer will stand behind, not the number in an advert.

Certificates are attested only if the employer or the permit checklist asks. Carry originals to interviews if they ask, and do not leave them behind. A skill test, if there is one, should be at the employer or an authorised centre, not in a flat above a mobile-phone shop. Domestic work, if that is the offer, is a different contract from a company job. Read the paper in front of you. A friend’s contract from another Gulf country is not a translation of yours.

Tickets, status and complaints

Buy the ticket when the visa is visible and the name matches, not when the agent is impatient. Open the booking on the airline site the same day and confirm the PNR. A booking without a PNR is not a ticket. If you are comparing fares home later, the habit is the same one in the Dubai flight notes: compare the total with bags, and do not invent a “usual” fare. If the file goes quiet after you pay, stop paying. Photograph the receipt, the shop front, the chat and the account. Then use the complaint doors. Anger in a family group is not a case file.
